Plans built around what is shut, not around a ranked list of sights. Three closures shape almost every Budapest itinerary: the Great Market Hall on Sunday, the Dohany Street Synagogue on Saturday, and most state museums on Monday. Fit those first and the rest arranges itself.

Two rules that save more time than any list

Castle Hill is a hill — ride up, walk down. And the baths are a half-day at minimum — plan a day around one rather than squeezing it between two other things.
